What do you do for work?: I'm the Head of Content at Hiku and the Contributing Fashion Editor at The Globe and Mail.
What do you do for fulfillment?: I'm most fulfilled when I'm making people smile.
What is your dream creative project?: I'd love to curate a show of my favourite music, art/design and fashion pieces at Serralves in Porto, Portugal.
Do you consider yourself a freshman, sophomore or senior in your field?: Mmmm I'm feeling pretty senior these days haha.
What can’t you leave the house without?: My headphones.
What's a typical day in the life for you?: Get up, read my horoscope, have some lemon water while answering emails. It gets pretty irregular after that - my days are spent writing, editing and strategizing. Evenings I'm often at events or djing. If it's a night off, I try to have a few unadulterated hours of Netflix enjoyment.
What would your perfect 24 hours consist of?: Well, I'd spend it in London. I'd sleep in until 9, go for breakfast at The Wolseley, then spend the afternoon at Kew Gardens. Come back to the city for a quick late lunch so I could visit the Portrait Gallery or the Tate Modern. Then I'd have dinner at Pollen Street Social and a drink at Sketch.
Where's your favourite place to eat?: Montgomery's, Le Paradis, Actinolite
Where's your favourite place to dance?: Anywhere they're playing motown or britpop.
Where's your favourite place to drink?: The Ossington and Reposado are my neighbourhood go-to spots.
Where's your favourite place to shop?: I buy mostly vintage but if I'm splashing out, I usually buy through Matches or Net-a-porter's app. My fave brands right now are Tome NYC, Ganni and Shrimps.
What are your go-to tunes for:
rising?: If it's a work day I usually listen to jazz to chill out; if it's a weekend, something like Soft Hair or Tom Tom Club.
exercising?: Disco!
partying?: The Strokes, Pulp, Blur, Japan, T.Rex, Bowie
What was your new years resolution?: I think I said I wanted to take an art appreciation class...still have yet to do it.
What do you think are the qualities of a life well lived?: A body of work that has inspired someone, a space full of treasures that make you smile when you see them, and a good collection of people around you.
