Where are you from and where do you live? I was born in London Ontario. I spend the majority of my time in Toronto but spend a lot of time in NY, and have spent the last few summers in Italy. È così caldo lì in estate, ma selvaggiamente bello.
What do you do? I sing, dabble in photography, and throw a great dinner party. My day job is working as a media and leadership consultant.
What is your dream creative project? My creative dreams change all the time. It depends on what I’m watching, what I’m reading, the season, the colour palette in nature, etc. Right now I want to create a video series where I perform in stunning sacred spaces.
At risk of sounding cheesy and utterly abstract, I have an obsession with daily life being artful. Our culture has sold us on the idea that beauty is only accessible to those that can afford it – I tend to disagree.
My dream creative project is an ever-evolving, beautiful life. All I know is that it feels really good to express myself and make beautiful stuff with people I find interesting. Be that a song, a photograph, a meal, or a conversation.
So essentially what I’m saying, is that I want to make a record and cook a meal with Erykah Badu. Wouldn’t be mad if Andre 3K was there too.
What's your strategy for creative block? Meditation, marijuana and the movies. I'm lucky to be in relationships with hyper creatives so we tend to sit around and engage in really deep, stimulating conversation. Gaining new perspectives tends to break me out of any creative funk.
